The Southern Highlands Community Foundation is thrilled to announce that the Medich Foundation will be the Principal Sponsor of our Grants Program and Highlands Heroes for the next three years.
Jenny Bott AO, Chair of the Southern Highlands Community Foundation said:
“The Medich Foundation is a leader in philanthropy and their significant donation and three year commitment to the Southern Highlands Community Foundation has the power to be truly transformative for our community. This kind of investment and support helps us to look to the future and help to effect long term change at a grassroots level. Our heartfelt thanks to Roy and Anthony”.
This commitment will ensure that we can further establish our Grants Program and Highlands Heroes initiative as well as increase the impact that we have in the community. Our Grants program is the primary way that we connect funds where they are needed. Each year we review grant applications from Community Organisations across the Wingecarribee Shire with successful applicants receiving assistance in funding for projects that support a range of needs across health and welfare, education, families, youth and/or aged care, community engagement, the environment, first nations people and culture.
Highlands Heroes is an initiative that recognises and rewards volunteers in our community who work tirelessly for their chosen cause. Now in our third year, and expanded to include a search for ‘Young Heroes’, we are looking forward to continuing to shine a light onto the incredible work of unsung heroes in our community.
The Medich Foundation was established in 2012 and has a long history of supporting philanthropic organisations and communities. Recognised as one of the top 50 private givers in the Financial Review Philanthropy 50 list, the Medich Foundation has made donations in the areas of health and medical research, arts and community organisations.
