2023 Community Grant applications are now closed.

 

The aim of the Southern Highlands Community Foundation (SHCF) is to connect funds with those in our community that need it most.  In 2023, to mark our 21st Birthday we have a range of community grants available for new programs and initiatives in the Southern Highlands.

Kickstart Southern Highlands

Do you have a great community initiative that needs a kickstart?

We have a number of grants available for new community programs  with a minimum grant of $1000 per application up to a maximum of $5000.

Grants are only accessible for projects/activities during 2023 and the first half of 2024*

21st birthday grants

It’s our birthday so to celebrate we want to give back to the community. We have grants available in three categories: First Nations, Arts & Culture and Cancer Care.

$5,000 will be available for each project or program application in each category. Up to three applicants may be supported through these grants in each category.

Funding will only be for projects or activities undertaken during 2023/early 24 and all funds will need to be expended by 30 June 2024.

APPLICATIONS ARE CLOSED

Applications open on 30 March 2023 and close on 30 June 2023 with successful applicants notified at the end of August 2023.

Other Granting Opportunities

Do you have a great idea to help support Southern Highlanders in need? We are always open to funding requests for projects or programs within the highlands.

Eligibility Criteria:

As with all applicants to the Southern Highlands Community Foundation there are several eligibility requirements:

  • The geographical focus of the programs and projects must be Wingecarribee LGA
  • Organisations seeking funding must be established with management or board structure, relevant registration, registered bank account and the ability to report on impact and outcomes of grant.

We do not fund:

  • Activities that are politically focussed or are involved in proselytising
  • Individuals
  • DGR 2 organisations
  • Programs or organisations that have been established for non-charitable purposes
